Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Large workload. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
