Reporting to the General Manager, Planning and Development, the Director of the Building Division is responsible for the direction, operation, and progress of the Building Division in the City of Surrey. A Professional Engineer or an Architect AIBC designation, and/or membership in the Building Officials? Association of B.C are assets. You will bring extensive expertise in administering regulations, such as relevant building codes and bylaws, while ensuring legal compliance. You will be a senior building professional with a strong understanding of construction, including principles, methods, and practices, and proven expertise in guiding complex projects and modernizing permitting and licensing processes.
