<p> Check out this to find out the Communities within our Division. </p><p><span><p> Chinook?s Edge School Division (CESD) invites applications for a full-time temporary Learning Support Interventionist at École Olds Elementary School (PK - 4) in Olds, effective the first day of the 2025-2026 school year to June 30, 2026. The successful candidate plays a crucial role in supporting academic achievement by providing high quality interventions in literacy and numeracy for emerging and developing learners who require targeted support, including English as an Additional Language (EAL) and First Nation, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) learners. The Learning Support Interventionist works in partnership with the school's Student Support Team (SST) at the school to contribute to a ?Quality Learning Environment? (QLE) by building culturally responsive and inclusive environments that respect the unique identities, experiences and academic needs of all students. The successful candidate will: </p><ul><li><p> Develop and deliver targeted literacy and numeracy intervention groups for elementary students identified as needing additional support, in close collaboration with classroom teachers </p></li><li><p> Utilize CESD and provincial assessment tools to inform intervention planning, including the identification of student needs, intervention development, and progress reporting that is communicated with the classroom teacher </p></li><li><p> Support classroom teachers with resources and strategies to enhance school-wide literacy and numeracy initiatives that align with the schools education plan in the area of academic excellence </p></li><li><p> Design and deliver small-group interventions tailored to English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners, aligned with each student?s EAL Proficiency Benchmarks </p></li><li><p> Assist teachers in coordinating and analyzing EAL Proficiency Benchmarks to guide instructional decisions </p></li><li><p> Assist teachers in the identification and development of resources to meet the needs of EAL students in inclusive classroom settings </p></li><li><p> Promote Indigenous cultural awareness and inclusion by creating opportunities for all students and teachers to learn about and respect the histories, cultures, languages, contributions, and perspectives of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. Responsibilities may include delivering universal Indigenous Education content to students, connecting with Elders and community supports, assisting teachers with integrating FNMI perspectives into the curriculum, etc. </p></li><li><p> Participate in, and deliver, professional development focused on literacy, numeracy, cultural awareness, and diversity</p></li></ul><p> Preference will be given to candidates who have elementary and specific literacy and/or numeracy intervention experience (e.g., specialist, coordinator, coach, lead teacher).
