*Overview*
As a Shipper, you're responsible for processing outgoing shipments by verifying products with packing slips, prepping and packaging orders. This role includes documentation, loading, packaging, and clear communication with your team, drivers, and customers.
*Responsibilities:*
* Determine order of processing shipments according to customer ship date and courier pickup schedule.
* Ensure accuracy in completing all associated shipping documentation.
* Assist customers/carriers with order pick-up and loading.
* Proper securing of product to shipping pallet/box e.g. banding, wrapping, foam, boxing.
* Maintain a clean, organized and efficient shipping department.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications*:
* Previous shipping or related experience.
* Attention to detail in all areas of work.
* Ability to meet high volume workload demands.
* Great customer service and communication skills.
* Basic math and computer skills.
* Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position including bending, twisting, kneeling and crouching.
* Ability to operate a forklift safely.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
