Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dusty. Work setting: Bakery. Food and beverage plant. Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment. Large volume bakery. Frozen foods department. Tasks: Food safety/handling skills. Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines. Provide customer service. Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers. Check products and packaging for basic quality defects. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Serve food or snacks. Receive payments. Package products. Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification. Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment or delivery. Food preparation. Order picking. Perform general cleaning duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping floors). Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment. Unpack products received by store and count, weigh or sort items. Carry customer's purchases to parking lot and pack orders in customers' vehicles. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Food Safety Certificate. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Work under pressure. Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
