Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Work setting: Custom cabinet shop. Millwork shop. Residential. Commercial. Tasks: Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components. Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage. Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.. Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures and related products. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Team player. Punctuality.
