Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Automation engineer technology/technician. Industrial mechanics and maintenance technology. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Noisy. Odours. Confined spaces. Dusty. All weather conditions. Work setting: Machinery installation. Various locations. Maintenance. Service. Repair. Overhaul. Machine set-up. Shopwork. Tasks: Assemble mechanical equipment. Assemble stationary industrial machinery. Coach and instruct apprentices. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Estimate costs and materials. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Equipment and machinery experience: Electrical and electronic controls. Fans and blowers. Gas and air dryers. Industrial and stationary engine. Pneumatic system. Power tools. Pumps and compressors. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Overtime required. Standing for extended periods. Work under pressure. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
