*Qualifications*
You should possess the following skills and attributes:
*Education/Experience:*
-Previous experience in a housekeeping role within a personal care home, long term care center, hotel would be considered an asset
-Working knowledge of WHMIS would be considered an asset
*Skills and Abilities:*
-Strong organizational skills to handle a daily schedule of providing housekeeping services to suites and common areas of the residence
-Provide a consistently outstanding resident experience with your attention to detail, and outgoing and caring nature
-Display knowledge related to infection control, cleaning practices, housekeeping operations, and equipment usage
-Demonstrate familiarity with common institutional cleaners and disinfecting agents and safe handling of same
-Demonstrates initiative to work independently and with a team
-Demonstrate genuine interest and passion for serving our senior residents
-Adhere to all legislation, employer policies and procedures, scope of employment, evidence-based practice and ethical principles
-Believe that good enough is never good enough- you are always looking for ways to improve our resident experience
-Basic computer skills
*Responsibilities:*
-Complete resident suite cleaning and disinfecting as presented on the daily schedule (change linens and towels, clean bathroom, empty garbage, sweep and mop floor)
-Launder linens, towels and clothing as required (washing, drying, sorting and folding)
-Deep clean and spot check common areas of the residence to ensure all are clean and free of litter (sweep, mop or vacuum floors, clean public washrooms, pool deck area, medical area, etc.)
-Ensure hallways, doorways and stairwells are free from obstruction to prevent accidents
-Supporting and participating in quality initiatives by providing input and suggestions for improvement
