Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Livestock. Hog and pig farming. Work setting: Rural area. Repair. Cattle feed lot, pig barns. Troubleshooting/diagnostic. Tasks: Empty trash cans and other waste containers. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform safety and security checks. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Search, locate and repair reported water leaks. Project management. Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment. Troubleshoot problems related to equipment. Welding experience. Organize and maintain inventory. Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Incorporate biosecurity measures into daily operation. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Washers. Motors and controls. Fans and blowers. Pressure washers. Feeding and watering system. Equipment, eystems and controls experience: Electric motors, generators, drives and motor controls. Area of work experience: Production. Area of specialization: Environment. Equipment: Power tools.
