Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.Under the direction of the Director, Offshore Investment, this position supports the development, management, and execution of the Bank's term and demand deposit portfolios encompassing the Bank's USD commercial paper and certificate of deposit program. What You'll Do:· A generalist role in the which the incumbent will be required to have existing skills and the ability to grow those skills in both trading and sales roles.· Maintain, develop, and improve desk reporting and analytics; aptitude for using new technologies to enhance operational workflow, trading systems, and market surveillance capabilities.· Support the sales effort for the distribution of the Bank's funding products, in particular Bank Time Deposits.· Assist with the execution of money market funding (e.g. Fed Funds, Eurodollar deposits, etc.) to support the Desk in its liquidity management and adherence to local and all-Bank level regulatory requirement.· Identify and recommend actions to senior leaders based on market trends or regulatory developments to ensure the Bank is at the forefront of funding optimization.· Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.· Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. · Foster a high-performance culture through proactive engagement and continuous improvement.What You'll Bring:· Degree/post graduate degree preferably in finance, business or economics preferred.· Strong analytical skills including extensive facility with PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI and Bloomberg among others.· Ability to be precise while multi-tasking and highly detailed oriented.· Strong attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills.· Thorough knowledge of the Bank's policies & procedures · Fluency in Spanish is required. #LI-Hybrid #GTB2025Interested?
