*Job Summary*
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide in North East Calgary to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various healthcare settings, assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. *Duties*
* Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
* Help patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
* Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
* Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene protocols.
* Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with facility policies.
* Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
*Requirements*
* Completion of a Health Care Aide program or equivalent training is preferred.
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an asset but not mandatory.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
* Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care, including lifting and moving patients safely.
* Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
* Basic knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial.
* Must be able to pass background checks as required by healthcare regulations.
