*Overview*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical *Accountant* for one of our clients in Cambridge, ON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of our organization and will involve working closely with various departments to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
*Responsibilities*
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
* Utilize accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
* Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial statements to assist in strategic planning.
* Conduct financial auditing to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
* Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
* Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
* Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
*Experience*
* Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in accounting principles.
* Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, payroll, and financial auditing.
* Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks is highly desirable.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for problem-solving.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* Effective communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly.
