Our client, a leading law firm based in Calgary, is currently seeking a skilled Corporate Paralegal to join their corporate services team. *Key Responsibilities:*
* Handle a broad range of corporate transactions, including incorporations, amendments to share structures, and other organizational changes
* Assist lawyers with complex corporate matters such as amalgamations, continuances, reorganizations, and corporate arrangements
* Prepare and file documentation for the incorporation and organization of Alberta and Federal corporations, not-for-profits, and societies
* Register and maintain domestic and extra-provincial limited partnerships
* Perform due diligence tasks such as corporate searches, filings, and review of public records
* Prepare corporate documentation including resolutions (e.g., dividends), annual returns, and minute book reviews and updates
* Input and maintain corporate data in internal databases and document management systems with accuracy
* Collaborate with lawyers and team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services
* Contribute to process improvement and uphold a high standard of accuracy and organization in all tasks
*Qualifications & Experience:*
* Completion of a recognizedParalegal diploma or certificate program
* 2+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal in a legal or professional services environment
* Strong knowledge of Alberta corporate procedures, with preference given to those experienced with CORES III and CORES accreditation
* Proficient with Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, and general legal document formatting
* Experience working with corporate databases is an asset
* Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
* Ability to prioritize work effectively and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
* A proactive, professional, and team-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
