Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre. Tasks: Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Professionalism in customer service. Assemble, install and set-up merchandise/products. Prepare, package and restock goods. Load and unload goods. Use maps and other trip planning aids. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Unpack goods received. Record shortages and reject damaged goods. Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents. Pack goods to be shipped. Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents. Supervision: Delivery drivers. Computer and technology knowledge: Inventory control software. MS Outlook. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer. Valid driver's licence.
