Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Various locations. Heavy water and atomic energy plant. Tasks: Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation . Operate heavy equipment. Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Measure distance, volume, length and weight. Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS). Complete onboard and other logs. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Prepare accident reports. Perform minor repairs to equipment. Operate hydraulic pumping systems. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Type of heavy equipment operated: Backhoe excavator, loader. Bulldozer, large or small. Loader. Concrete spreader. Concrete pumping equipment. Roller. Front end loader. Equipment and machinery experience: Boring machines. Area of work experience: Excavation. Land clearing. Area of specialization: Tunnelling. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Overtime required.
