Fastoche is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider that focuses on high-tech solutions for child care management through mobile and touch-friendly applications. We create tools that improve and facilitate communication between child care centres and the families they serve, while simplifying the administrative functions of directors. The work is varied, always challenging, and provides potential to gain a great deal of technical knowledge. *Responsibilities* As a Web Developer, you will work closely with our development team to: * Ship great software to our customers * Establish and follow coding standards * Ensure our coding practices continually improve through iterative changes * Build strong and lasting relationships with our customers with unparalleled user experiences * Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex issues for end users; recommend and implement solutions * Assist with testing and replication of issues to define and close support tickets * Troubleshoot bugs, errors and technical issues encountered; ensure information is logged and resolutions are shared with customers * Participate in team meetings as required * Maintain excellent documentation * Other tasks and responsibilities relevant to the role *Skills and Experience * * Full-stack developer with very strong backend experience * Strong coding skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSON, as well as experience with a SaaS and API-driven environment * Solid database experience, in particular MySQL * Generalist who loves wearing lots of different hats and rolling up your sleeves to get a problem solved * Know and understand continuous delivery * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * High level of motivation with the ability to work unsupervised * Desire to learn and creative problem-solving skills * Strong work ethic and enjoyment of challenges *Bonus Points * * Bilingual (English/French) * An understanding of the child care sector * Experience with AWS * Past delivery of multilingual software * Help desk or customer service experience *Life at Fastoche * Fastoche continues to expand and has opportunities for growth and learning.
