We?re hiring at *National Port Security Services!* A dynamic maritime security service working across central and eastern Canada. NPSS also provides security to multiple industries diversifying the types of opportunities available to our employees.
Rates of pay is above industry standard at *$17.25 per hour* with opportunity to increase.
*Security guards are expected to perform the following responsibilities:*
- Maintain all security procedures, including performing regular patrols.
- Ability to work night shifts.
- Conducting patrols in a vehicle on the client site to ensure no unauthorized individuals are on the property.
- Getting in and out of the vehicle several times a night.
- Recording information and ensuring it is passed to management.
- Completed assigned job duties within the expected time frames.
- Patrolling In the car provided by the Client on Site.
- Scanning the checkpoints placed at different locations.
- Reporting to the property Front Desk every 2 hours.
*Applicants must have:*
· A vehicle, license and clean driving record.
· Valid Prince Edward Island security guard license.
· Valid first aid and CPR certification.
· Clean criminal record.
· 18 years or older.
· Entitled to work in Canada.
· Willingness to work at short notice.
· Ability to adapt to new duties as necessary.
Locations of our facilities are found in *Charlottetown & Summerside, PEI.*
Based on the nature of the industry we accommodate _*no minimum*_ hours are guaranteed. Work will be scheduled as it becomes available. This is often done days & weeks in advance, but short notice calls for work do occur. These shifts are offered to guards on a first-come basis. Shift schedules include evenings, nights, and weekends.
