Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Dusty. Noisy. Tasks: Clean work area. Check proper thickness of plating using micrometers, callipers or other devices. Clean and maintain equipment. Operate and control: electroplating equipment to coat metal, hot-dip metal plating equipment to galvanize metal and/or spray equipment to build up worn or damaged parts. Prepare and mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications. Tend automatic metal coating machines which convey objects through a series of cleaning, rinsing and plating solutions. Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for application of protective or decorative coatings. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Overhead Crane Certification. Type of product: Construction materials or coatings. Surface preparation methods: Chemical techniques. Type of paints or coatings: Metallized coatings. Equipment and machinery experience: Callipers. Electroplating equipment. Micrometers. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods.
