With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy. About the role.Responsible for overseeing the equipment and process in the Cutter Deck Area.   What you ll be doing.Monitor the performance of the cutting system through various tests such as tube alignment, cut quality, shattering and breakage. Monitor and optimize waste streams from the cutting area such as slivers, nubbins and ADR cubes. Change, disassemble and rebuild cutter heads as well as occasionally sharpen cutter blades. Monitor tuber temperatures and ensure that they are adequate in order to prevent either excessive shattering or cutter blockages. Operate and monitor the Welliver camera system and make adjustments as required to ensure efficient cutting throughout every shift. Ensure correct spare cutter heads are stored in the sleeves at the cutter deck. Maintain good housekeeping and sanitation practices in the cutter deck area including 5S, routinely scheduled tasks, daily HPC (High Performance Clean) and CIP (Clean in Place). Provide support and relief to the Starch and ADR Operators.? Must be able to operate all equipment associated with defect removal including ADRs and Tegras. Cleans camera on optimizer at least once a shift. Maintains all required documentation including entering SPC data. Complete routinely scheduled sanitation tasks including high pressure washing, scrubbing, deep cleaning, waste disposal, and general housekeeping. Performing required daily tests to ensure product quality, consistency, and determine equipment effectiveness.
