Tasks: Bathe and shampoo animals. Clip animal coat. Document animal behaviour. Monitor animal behaviour. Style animal coat. Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stall and enclosures. Keep records of animals treated. Clean animal ears. Clip animal nails. Perform dental cleaning on domestic animals. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Pet first aid course. Pet Grooming Certificate. Type of pets groomed: All breeds of dogs. Dog training expertise: Canine behaviour problems/modification. Animal specialization: Domestic animals/pets (cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, etc.). Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods.
