*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support physiotherapists in delivering patient-centered care, assisting with treatment plans, and ensuring smooth clinical operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on improving patient outcomes across various settings, including hospital and pediatric care. The position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and case management. Fluency in multiple languages, including French, is highly desirable to better serve diverse patient populations. *Duties* * Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans and therapy sessions for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and acute care cases * Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning * Support patient care activities such as mobility assistance, exercise supervision, and education on therapeutic exercises * Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other case management software * Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care and provide updates * Manage scheduling and organize patient files to ensure timely delivery of services * Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions and report any concerns or adverse reactions promptly * Assist with administrative tasks related to medical records, billing documentation, and inventory management *Requirements* * Proven experience in hospital or healthcare settings preferred; familiarity with acute care and nursing practices is advantageous * Strong knowledge of medical terminology, case management, and patient care procedures * Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus * Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and word processing software for documentation purposes * Mechanical knowledge beneficial for handling therapy equipment and assistive devices * Ability to multitask efficiently with strong organizational skills and time management capabilities * Analytical skills to assess patient needs and adapt support accordingly * Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team * Certification or training as a Physiotherapy Assistant or related field is preferred but not mandatory * *MUST HAVE A PHYSIOTHERAPY ASSISTANCE JOB EXPERIENCE.* * *MUST BE AVAILABLE MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY.* * *THIS IS A LOCUM POSITION TILL 1ST OCTOBER 2026.* This position provides an enriching opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient recovery processes while developing professional skills within a supportive healthcare environment.
