<p>RQ00694 - Sr. Technical Writer</p> <p>1-year contract (250 bsiness days) - possible extension</p> <p>ONSITE 5 days (subject to HM's discretion) - 525 University Avenue</p> <p><strong>Must Haves:</strong> </p> <p> </p> <ul><li>7+ years of experience in the development of high-quality technical project documents. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to capture complex technical input from architects and developers and translate it into clear, structured, and user-friendly documentation for a technical audience. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders. </li><li>Public Sector experience</li></ul> <p><strong>Description:</strong></p> <p>The Technical Writer will create professional technical project documentation, including the development of project documents incorporating business and technical information provided by subject matter experts.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul><li>Translate complex technical requirements into clear, structured, and professionally written project documents </li><li>Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather domain knowledge and technical content </li><li>Synthesize SME input into comprehensive, project documentation </li><li>Ensure documentation accurately reflects business needs and evaluation criteria </li><li>Drive accuracy, completeness, and quality of project documents </li><li>Ensure timely and efficient completion of project documentation </li><li>Contribute to advancing organizational digital transformation objectives</li></ul> <p><strong>Desired Skills:</strong></p> <ul><li>Strong technical writing and documentation skills. </li><li>Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured, business-friendly language </li><li>Experience collaborating with SMEs and cross-functional teams </li><li>Excellent synthesis and analytical skills to consolidate diverse inputs into cohesive documentation </li><li>Knowledge of industry standards and best practices relevant to technology and procurement </li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and completeness </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple deliverables </li><li>Ability to align documentation with business requirements and evaluation criteria </li><li>Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills </li><li>Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify gaps or inconsistencies in requirements </li><li>Ability to produce high-quality deliverables under tight timelines </li><li>Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., MS Word, SharePoint, collaboration platforms)</li></ul> <p><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p> <ul><li>Proven technical writing capability, particularly for structured, formal documents </li><li>Strong ability to interpret and translate complex technical requirements into clear written content </li><li>Experience working with SMEs to extract and validate technical information </li><li>Analytical skills to synthesize inputs into accurate, cohesive deliverables </li><li>Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness </li><li>Clear written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines </li><li>Experience with a wide range of technical writing methods, tools and techniques and knowledge of industry standards and best practices</li><li>Proficiency with standard documentation and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint)</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards </li></ul> <p><strong>Deliverables Include (Deliverables resource is responsible for):</strong></p> <ul><li>Project Documents<ul><li>Complete, structured, and professional technical project documentation </li></ul></li><li>Requirements Documentation<ul><li>Cons- Location Toronto, ON
