We're looking for an experienced writer who thrives in a live environment. This team member should have news writing experience, be passionate about generating compelling local content, and know the value of good storytelling across multiple platforms. If you are a motivated self-starter, who excels in the fast-paced world of covering the biggest stories in Canada's largest city, we'd love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for writing news stories, headlines and banners for televisionWorking with producers, assignment editors, reporters and anchors on storiesOther duties as assignedCritical QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience writing for broadcastA degree/diploma in television broadcasting or journalism is preferredA highly developed editorial sense, someone who knows what the top stories are every dayCapable of distilling complex issues into clear, concise copy under deadline pressuresExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsPrevious experience working in a live news environment is preferredKnowledge of iNews is an assetExperience in dealing with breaking news coverageAdequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
