With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy.&nbsp;About the role.The Forklift Operator / Order Picker plays a critical role in supporting the Florenceville Distribution Center operations by safely and efficiently handling materials and fulfilling orders. This role ensures product integrity, maintains safety standards, and contributes to operational excellence through adherence to established processes and performance targets.&nbsp;What you&rsquo;ll be doing.Operate forklifts (including stand-up reach trucks) in a safe and defensive manner following &ldquo;Info Link&rdquo; guidelinesPerform order picking and material handling tasks to meet operational targetsComplete daily vehicle operator checklists to ensure equipment safety and reliabilityMaintain housekeeping standards and support 5S practices within the work areaFollow forklift battery rotation proceduresCommunicate operational changes, issues, or updates with team members and supervisionComplete required documentation, check sheets, and comply with standard work proceduresAdhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all safety protocolsSupport departmental KPIs by meeting productivity and quality targetsCross-train and perform various tasks across the department as required&nbsp;What you&rsquo;ll need to be successful.Grade 12 diploma or equivalentForklift operator certification (or ability to obtain) for counterbalance and reach trucksKnowledge of safe lift truck operation and proper driving proceduresExperience with WMS systems and forklift operations is an assetAbility to lift approximately 20 kgStrong attendance record and commitment to reliabilityGood written, oral, and basic math skillsSelf-motivated with strong observational skills and a positive attitudeAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with othersFlexibility to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and adapt to changing schedulesWillingness to cross-train and take on different tasks as needed&nbsp;About the team.You will be part of the Florenceville Distribution Center team, working alongside forklift operators and warehouse associates in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
