Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Noisy. Work setting: School or educational institution/establishment. Children's program. Tasks: Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques. Instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts. Assist with coordination of recreational, sport and fitness events . Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs. Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities. Prepare reports. Understand principles of group dynamics. Leading/instructing groups. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required. Supervision: 16-20 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : HIGH FIVE training (principles of healthy child development). CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Child Abuse Registry check. Vulnerable sector check. Reference required. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Flexibility. Initiative. Organized. Reliability. Team player.
