Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel. Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions. Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings. Repair roofing systems. Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools. Install sheet metal flashings. Estimate costs and materials. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Repetitive tasks. Personal suitability: Client focus. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Team player. Employment terms options: Evening. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
