Voyageur Soap & Candle Co. has been in business for over 30 years, providing supplies, packaging and education for soap making, candle making, bath and body, aromatherapy and skin care. We serve customers across Canada through our e-commerce business as well as our busy retail store in the Willowbrook area of Cloverdale. We are looking for a friendly, dependable and customer-focused *Part-Time Retail Sales Associate* to join our retail team. This position combines customer service and sales with merchandising, restocking and backroom inventory support. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, takes pride in staying organized and is comfortable working in a busy, hands-on retail environment. *Tasks and Responsibilities may include:* * Providing exceptional in-store customer service to ensure every Voyageur customer has a positive shopping experience * Assisting customers with locating products and answering general product questions * Processing sales and payments accurately through our point-of-sale system * Restocking shelves and maintaining an organized, clean and attractive retail environment * Monitoring product levels and helping ensure merchandise is readily available for customers * Assisting with product displays, seasonal merchandising and new product launches * Working collaboratively with team members to complete daily store priorities * Following direction while also taking initiative and identifying tasks that need to be completed * Supporting the team in maintaining an efficient, welcoming and professional retail environment *Qualifications:* * Previous retail sales or customer service experience is preferred * A genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service * Professional, dependable and self-motivated * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent team player with the ability to work independently * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment * Comfortable working in a growing and evolving company * Experience with point-of-sale systems and processing sales transactions is an asset * Experience with stock receiving, merchandising or stockroom inventory management is an asset, although training will be provided * Previous knowledge or interest in soap making, candle making, bath and body, aromatherapy or skin care products is an asset but not required *You Must Be:* * Friendly, outgoing and positive * Reliable and responsible * Customer-service focused * Organized and detail oriented * Comfortable learning about a large and diverse range of products * Willing to take initiative and contribute as part of a team *Position Details:* * Part-time position * In-person at our Cloverdale retail location * Opportunity to learn and grow within an established Canadian company If you enjoy working with customers and are interested in joining the Voyageur team, please forward your *resume and cover letter* for consideration.
