This is a Summer Student Job.
The job responsibilities will include:
* Planning and Execution Support: Collaborate with the Resource Center Coordinator to plan, organize, and implement community events and activities that meet the needs of clients and participants.
* Administrative Support and Inventory Management: Perform administrative tasks related to resource center and food bank operations, including tracking supplies, ensuring proper stock levels, and preparing materials for events and activities.
* Volunteer Supervision and Data Management: Assist in supervising and supporting volunteers, maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and participant information, and ensure proper documentation and data entry for program activities.
* Client Interaction and Paperwork Management: Engage with clients in a professional and compassionate manner, assisting with the completion, filing, and updating of client paperwork to ensure accurate and timely processing.
* Eligibility Verification: Assist in verifying client eligibility for various programs and services, ensuring compliance with program requirements and guidelines.
* Food Donation Sorting and Organization: Support the resource center staff in sorting, organizing, and distributing food donations efficiently to ensure smooth operations of the food bank.
* Additional Duties as Assigned: Perform any other tasks as directed by management to ensure the effective operation of the resource center and food bank services.
*Skills/Qualifications:*
* Minimum Education requirement is a Secondary School Diploma
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Must be a team player and willing to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, conflicting demands, frequent interruptions, and heavy workloads
* Be willing to work long hours when required
* Self-disciplined with ability to work without close oversight
* Excellent time-management and organization skills demonstrating the ability to multitask with precision in each task
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 35 weeks
Pay: $17.20 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
