*The Opportunity*
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Human Resources to lead the development and execution of our people and culture strategies. As a key member of our Executive Management team, the Director will be responsible for creating an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance work environment aligned with our values and business objectives.
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Director will provide leadership across all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, compliance, organizational development, and HR operations. This role is instrumental in supporting our ongoing growth, operational excellence, and people- ?rst culture across our Canadian and U.S. operations.
*Responsibilities*
As we continue our growth as a trusted partner in precision electronics manufacturing, the Director, Human Resources will be instrumental in shaping a people strategy that enables innovation, operational excellence, and long-term scalability. This leadership role is responsible for delivering a high-impact HR function that supports our evolving business needs while cultivating a culture of inclusion, agility, and continuous improvement.
*People Strategy & Organizational Alignment*
· Develop and execute a forward-thinking HR strategy that aligns with DSM?s mission, values, and business objectives.
* Partner with senior leadership to anticipate workforce needs, support organizational design, and guide change initiatives across both Canadian and U.S. operations.
* Act as a strategic advisor on culture, leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
*Talent Development & Workforce Planning*
* Lead enterprise-wide talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure a diverse, capable, and future-ready workforce.
* Implement scalable programs for onboarding, performance management, and leadership development that drive engagement and high performance.
* Oversee succession planning and internal mobility initiatives to build long-term organizational resilience.

* Oversee the design and delivery of core HR services including compensation and bene?ts, health and safety, leave management, and employee relations.
* Ensure the HR function delivers consistent, efficient, and high-quality service across multiple facilities and jurisdictions.
* Lead continuous improvement efforts to align HR processes with Lean principles and operational priorities.
*Compliance, Risk & Governance*
* Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment legislation, as well as Controlled Goods Program and ITAR certi?cations.
* Proactively manage risk by maintaining up-to-date policies, providing training, and overseeing adherence to workplace safety and conduct standards.
